Eh oui…
C’est le 30 juillet 1909, qu’Eugène Schueller (1881-1957), un jeune chimiste, créait la Société française de teintures inoffensives pour cheveux, aujourd’hui connue sous le nom de… L’Oréal.
Et, en plus (la vie est bien faite), c’était un vendredi !
C’est en 1904, qu’Eugène S. avait mis au point une formule de synthèse permettant de teindre les cheveux ; formule baptisée Oréal, du nom d’une coiffure de l’époque (source).
C’est lui !
Le petit artisan que je suis ne pouvait donc pas passer à côté de ce 30 juillet historique, sans avoir une pensée émue pour la fille d’Eugène Schueller, Liliane Henriette Charlotte Schueller.
Au décès d’Eugène Schueller, en 1957, Liliane, mariée, le 8 juin 1950, à l’associé de son père, André Bettencourt, héritait de L’Oréal.
Nous verrons bien, qui d’autre que moi, dans ce monde de brute, pensera à fêter Liliane...

Or donc, en 1907 lorsqu’il élabore sa teinture pour cheveux, Eugène Schueller ne la baptise pas du nom de ” l’Oréal ” mais il modifie légèrement l’intitulé d’une coiffure populaire de l’époque ” l’auréole ” (cf. en pied de page : http://fon.gs/aureole/) pour en faire ” l’Auréale “, intitulé qu’il retient pour son invention.
Ce n’est que 2 ans plus tard, lorsqu’il crée sa société SFTIC qu’il modifie/simplifie le nom d’origine et utilise désormais l’encore actuel ” l’Oréal “.

Ouais, peut-être, mais. C’est sans aucune arrière pensée que je souhaite un très bon anniversaire à Madame Liliane Bettencourt!
Et pourquoi ? Le 21 ° siècle étant le siècle de la preuve, voir de la justification, parce que M’sieur Shueller et m’sieur André et Madame Liliane et Madame Françoise, ont fait, font et feront toujours plus pour les français que l’ensemble des ministres de la santé depuis cinquante ans. C’est par la qualité des produits d’hygiène l’Oréal, la première qualité d’un savon est d’être antiseptique, que les français sont toujours partants pour de nouvelles aventures, et qu’ils laissent les politiques un peu crades se prendre les savons. Et si la politique française est sale ce n’est pas de la faute de Liliane, mais du suborneur de fragiles femmes effarouchées. Et puis l’Oréal ne fait pas dans les canards pour nettoyer les latrines des écuries.

@martingrall: c’est dingue, aucun média n’a commenté ce changement d’allure qui colle à un plan com’ emprunté à Chirac lors de son allocution télévisée: le séducteur five minutes sex bed avait mis des lunettes marrons à la monture large pour expliquer son choix de maintenir le CPE tout en le rendant inapplicable. Nicolas Sarkozy fait pareil: il apparait en vieux sage qui décide la création d’une commission pour empêcher les conflits d’intérêt tout en maintenant à son poste son porteur d’enveloppes kraft.
Ben je suis bien embêté. J’ai une photo d’une femme nue dont l’identité est certaine mais qui ne peut être dévoilée, une grande brune posant pour la publicité l’Oréal. Et tout le monde se retrouva chez le pianiste de bord’elle, Madame l’oréal, Madame Carla Bruni, Monsieur Nicolas Sarkozy, Monsieur Er……? Mais c’est bien sûr, Madame l’Oréal s’est trompée de pianiste, et a donné l’enveloppe à… enfin elle ne l’a pas donné à Jacques, mais à un poignet Rolex à jantes larges polies miroir et elle n’a jamais récupéré le reçu. Donc Woerth n’y est pour rien. Enfin juste un peu. Tiens j’y pense cela fait combien de temps que Séguéla n’a pas été contrôlé par le fisc?
@lovely, si les journalistes devaient commenter les artifices physiques des femmes et hommes politiques, ils n’auraient pas le temps faire du journalisme, enfin il n’en feraient pas du tout. Enfin encore moins. J’ai vu de Villiers en châtain doré, si ça lui va bien, s’il avait choisi l’Oréal dont on apprécie toujours l’étiquette lisible à l’oeil nu, il n’aurai pas lu, châtelain doré.
@Martingrall, je suis suprise de ce post adressé. En politique tout a un impact, le discours comme le l’allure physique. Nicolas Sarkozy a changé son image en quelques années, entre le Fouquet’s et le chantier naval il y a la volonté de se rapprocher de sa base électorale pour continuer à enrichir ses amis du Fouquet’s.

La coiffure s’appelait “auréale” car elle formait une sorte d’auréole au-dessus de la tête. Ce n’est qu’en avril 1939 la société devient une SA et prend officiellement le nom de L’Oréal.
